"User has not selected a best response" Why does this column appear??

Hiiii,
i quite new to Mylot and dont know all the rules and regulations and also methods for solving my problems..........One more new problem has appeared near me is that whenver i post a disscusion in the last line automatically a line appears which read "User has not selected a best response" Y is it So?????? CAn Any body Solve MY problem...

You have to mark a best response in your discusssion or it will be hidden untill you do, don't be so quick to post a best response. give other people a chance to post.

This is nothing strange. It is just a footnote of sort that accompanies every discussion. You either get there or something like "xxx was accepted as the best response on yyy".
When you mark your best response, you will get the second message. Don't worry about it. It is normal.

Welcome to Mylot be sure to read the guidelines, that is very important. rate everyone, answer more post. write long replys. get you alot of friends. they might not all participate but you never know.

When one starts a discussion then the same user is supposed to resolve the discussion after reading to all the responses recieved. The user in this case can select one and only response as a best response as and so felt to the mind which satisfies to the discussion in most proper manner.
So this notice remiains clipped below the discussion untill the user who started the discussion marks the best response to some one responded.
