Google Earth put icons on Dafur, region of Sudan. The icons represent destroyed villages with flames and refugee camps with tents. Clicking on flame icons will open windows with the village's name and statistics on the extent of destruction.
A week ago, Google was accused of 'airbrushing history' by replacing post-Hurricance satellite imagery on Google Earth with images of the region taken before the storm's devastation. When reality is that the entire neighborhoods are now slab mosaics.
