What can you say about these Sweepstakes Lottery. My sister received an email that she won. To the point that she is already on the last stage in claiming the price via courier. It said she has to pay a certain fee for the courier to send the price. When I tried to verify it here in the same courier branch here in our country, they said it could be a hoax. For those of you in the UK, are these sweepstakes for real? PLease enlighten me.

Hi, Jammy! If she has not joined any lottery there is no way that she could have won. I won a small amount a few years ago and the only thing they required from me was my complete address, the bank's SWIFT number (for the wire transfer), photo and a testimonial that I allow them to put on their site. I didn't give any money at all. I received the money via wire transfer, and the money paid for the wire transfer was deducted from my prize money, so the amount I got was le. If they were legitimate, they could have just gotten the money needed from the prize.

Oops, made a mistake. The second to the last statement should have stated....."so the amount I got was less by about 15 dollars."

Hello jammyt.......
If you did not enter you cannot win.
No legitimate sweepstakes asks for money.
There are many types of internet fraud trying to get people to send their personal information, NEVER use any of the web links in this type of scam.

yup, never did joined. They say the email was picked randomly. People can be so cruel to lead others on. Specially in this time and age where everyone is so hard up in life.
Thanks for answering me.
