How and when do you tell your boss you are pregnant?

yeah, definately tell the bosses when there is not a lot of other stuff going on. I am a nurse, and I am 9 weeks preg. I needed to tell my boss pretty early because of the all the things we as nurses are asked to do (lifting, around medicines, and diseases, etc). But nursing is a primarily female field, it was a bit easier. When I worked in corportate america, I don't think it would have been as easy, because that is a primarily male field. Many fear that their peers will think they will be less productive, I think if you are straight forward, then there should be no issues.

She should tell him on a friday when its not so stressful, not on monday or nothing and not before a big meeting or a big project. Tell them before anyone else at work so they dont hear it though the grapevine. Make sure you have plans for how long you will be out, who will cover your job while your gone, will you take appts on your lunch break or will u need off in the day?
