Ok, some people complain about what they're earning here. I just thought for a second about how we earn for the posts and discussions. This is how I think.
Well you see, when we start a discussion we get replies to our discussions, sometimes not. But what I thought was that, you know that we get marked positvie or negative for our discussions. And I thought for that was:
For every time we get marked as positive to our discussion we get one cent. And when marked as negative we lose one cent. The overall earning would be after the plus minus of this. For example we get marked as positive 50 times and as negative 14 times. Then we get 36 cents. So, what do you think?
I know that i'm being baseless but this is the thing which can be for us. You see here that we get posiotive rating for quality posts so we get paid for those, don't we right??? Please tell me about what I thought.

Well thought , you have tried to give us new direction for thinking. May be you are correct then what about lordwarwizard a friend of mine. He gets some 100 + responses for every discussion her starts, then he must be earning a lot. I don't want to trust you but my inner concious says may be you are right. Heyy, but I also get lot of responses then what thses people responding to me are not marking me + or what. Thinking of starting same discussion as your to get this point noticed by nearly all of my friends. lolz. Won't copy it dear , don't worry. hehehe

I think differently. but then again there is no sure way for knowing this. those are all theories. i do not think that everytime that someone rates us positive we get money, but i do really think that everyone that someone rates us negative we do lose a few cents.
I think that the rating of our reputation is effecting only our star, and according to this star, we get a cent or more per discussion or replay. what do you think?

u may be right or wrong. i am a member for last 3 months or so. I still am not sure how much we earn for every new post or every response we get.I know about the points beside our id, thats it. How all the earnings are updated that i don't know.

as for me im startin having headaches to think on this thingy that lead to the algorithm that mylot is using to pay us. but really though as long as i dont hurt anybody's feelings im ok with it.. i jsut wanna be friendly here.

well i think you are quite close but not exactly there because if you are right then if we are marked more negative than positives than our earnin should be in negative but i don't think so it has ever happened on mylot,your earnin are never deducted it is always credited to your account!!!!

Nice very nice ..you act very rational towards every thing don't you.
I agree with your thinking and I even find it right.
As ntohing is this world as that easy, every thing needs some labour !! and mylot too!! So its justified.
I belive in giving labour "and" then earning cause something which is giving out money without any labour then its fake or madness to lose their money like this!!

mylot is like one of the mysteries of the world:) yes, i agree with you, that makes sense. well i don't post frequently, lack of time, so i'm not complaining. i do it mostly because it's fun. but of course that i don't mind getting paid for it.:)

I've answered quite a few posts here today about this particular subject. I've said the same in all of them that I have no clue how it works because I've tried keeping track of things and when I think I know what it is, the amount turns out to be something completely different than what I had figured. Your theory sounds pretty good though. Have you tested it out at all? Get back to us and let us know if your idea is close to your earnings ok?

I feel it's not the number responses that you get to your discussion or the number of +s ,but the quality of responses that your discussion receives that earns you bigger.It's easy to have 500 friends and get innumerous replies with an easy discussion question to answer,one that everyone can relate to,but it won't earn you much.However,if your post is intuitive and gets some out-of-the-box replies with good reasoning ,then you could earn more.I've earned more for discussions where I got 15 quality replies than I earned for 106 replies :-P So,it's all in the quality .As for the +s ,yes, they help to improve your rating ,but I feel what contributes towards your earnings more are the best responses.

yea.. that's why.. don't spam in a post.. if not.. people will be angry with you =) .. we're here to earn.. to listen to others problem.. discuss bout everything.. but not spamming .. if you spam.. u're definitely to get negative marks

well i think there are so many theories around here we do not know which one is the right one.we may give different opinions but mylot has a brain of its own and it is really diffult and complex to think of the way they credit our earnings.i dont thing when we get rated neagtive we loose a cent and when we are rated a positive we get one cent because we will have fluctuations everyday on our earnings.so i think your theory wouldnt be accurate.

I think that so. When you have marked a positive rating in your respond you will earn a point. Which i don't know how much you will get. If you are marked negative, you will lose a point. Plus i think if you mark other people positive especially in your own discussions you will earn a money too. That's what i think. But right now, i am just enjoying myself here.

For me, as long as we help people here, bring our ideas out.. .thats good enough, you know, its not only money we earn from this site but also respect, thats the way i see it in here. And with these its kinda cool to interact with different people all around the world, we get to find ideas and stories that touch our heart, makes us laugh and everything, so the way i see it.. we earn alot from this site in each and every good way... :-)

seriously? i don't think so. that's not really going to give the company much income. i believe it's the internet traffic they're aiming at. only i'm not sure how to relate that to money-making

i being a new member am still tring to figure out my own theory, i like yours its well thought.
