I can remember the first time I gave my cats roast beef. Well, one of them growled like a dog while eating it. I just had to laugh.

That's funny. I don't have pets myself but there was a dog in my street which I was sure thought it was a cat. Usually I am really scared of dogs, especially when they are out on their own, but this one would climb onto walls and walk along them just as a cat would. It would also stay away from people rather than barking and jumping up me which most dogs do. So, I have never known a cat behave like a dog but I have known the opposite!

My granddaughter often tell me our cat isn't a cat but a dog. She has taught the cat to fetch her rings. When the kids toss the ring across the room the cat will go get it and bring it back most of the time. She will also speak when her head is rubbed and she is told to speak she does.

I dont completly agree with you. I think most animals ack like what they have to in order to get what they want. I live with someone who has 3 dogs and 4 cats. I have my very own cat now, and sometimes he acts like a dog, and other times he act likes a snobish cat.

I have never seen a cat behave like a dog before. It's my guess that your cat imprinted on dog behavior and has accepted dogs as part of his "family."

yeah, somtimes they seem like they are small dogs than cats... i love cuddling them and whenever im home, they always follow me wherever i go... and i taught them to go up at the chair or at the sofa by just tapping the sofa... and when im sleeping in my room and they are outside playing, i wake up seeing them on the floor outside my room if its locked or beside me at the bed, sleeping... i think thay are guarding me... i have 2 female cats by the way... ;)

My cat Blackroot does. I always tell my boyfriend that I think she is half dog. haha She listens just like a dog would. She wants the love and attention like a dog would. She has to be with you all the time. If you leave the room she has to follow you. She will follow me around for hours. She almost responds to commands and I'm amused by it.
