Which Could You Live Without?

to me going blind is scarry. I would be afraid to live in a completely dark black world. I guess I would rather be deaf, I could always read lips.

in first glance when i read your post. I thought that i will select deaf not blind if i have given choice. becouse I can hear romantic word of my wife and lovely voices of my child. love both of them.it is also dificult without eyes. both of them are gift of ALLAH (GOD) some one will say eyes is better then ears some will say something else. but that is my openion what i say.

I would rather loose my hearing. There are so many wonderful things to see in this world that I have not been able to do yet. Without my hearing I can still be on mylot (he he), watch tv with closed captioning and see my lovers face. I still want to see some of the world greatest wonders and would not be able to do that if I was blind.

I would rather be deaf because I am still afraid of the dark. I know at 44 I shouldn't be but hey what can I say. If the lights go out I am shaking and can not relax until I have light. I would hate not being able to see my family and see peoples faces when they talk to me. I could learn how to read lips and do sign language so I would be able to communicate. Besides if I couldn't see I couldn't be on the computer. Now that would be awful for me!!

I think that I would be the opposite. I would prefer to be deaf instead of blind. Honestly life is a little easier on the deaf. You can learn to communicate through sign language. You can still watch TV you just have to use closed-caption. You can still enjoy books and newspapers because everthing isn't available in brail writing. You are in less danger than you are if you are blind. When you are blind at first even walking around in your own house or attempting to cook can be dangerous and life-threatening. I want to travel around the world and look at different historic landmarks. I also plan to have family one day so I want to be able to look at my child and look at my husband. You just miss out on so much with either disability. But I belive I would miss my sight more than my ability to hear.

i dont know really. i have friends who are blind. and i think i could not manage if im deaf. my friends who are blind are just like normal. they work, they do things that normals can do. so, the disabilities cannot stop them from doing what they want to do in life. so, i'd rather be blind.

i would rather go deaf so that i can still read books and ignore all the noise around me.if you were blind you would have some problems using the internet and other stuff.
