Is it necessary for a guy or girl to change when they're in love?

Well, I'm just wondering that when you fall in love, you'll experience a great change in your life... My friends always say that when you fall for someone, changes started to bloom, like the way you dress, your daily activities, the way you treat everyone... If i'll ask them why, they will just say "To make him/her happy!" Well, to tell you honestly, I'm also loving someone. But i don't see that changing ones lifestyle is very necessary. But i think it's part of the process. It somewhat confusing but, it's not mandatory for us to change just to make your spouse happy. It's just you must make sure that he/she would stay with you and be contented in your relationship... and that would make you BOTH happy, right?
