I used to read every Stephen King book that came out, but I was more into the horror stuff, and he started to stray from that a bit. Plus I just didn't have time any more. I did read one of his more recent books though, Cell, which I thought was excellent. I actually started a page about it and wrote an article about the movie version to be coming out. I don't want to spoil the book for you, but its pretty tense the whole way through, a good read, not to overdone like some of his other books. The Dark Tower series is also good, but can get a bit draggy at times. Here are the links about Cell if anyone is interested: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/187298/hostel_director_eli_roth_to_direct.html http://www.squidoo.com/stephenkingthecell/

Stephen King has so many great books out there that it is hard to choose. I just finished Lisey's story and the Cell. Both of those were excellent! I have read most of the Dark Tower series but the books have been so far apart that I need to reread the older ones before finishing the series. They are very good but not your typical Stephen King. Another good series is the Green Mile. I think my favorite novel is the Stand or It. Really any of his novels are good but I don't care much for his short stories. Also, I just read a book by his son, Joe Hill, called Heart Shaped Box. If you love a good ghost story, you will like that one too.

The Dark Tower series is great :) And I would personally recommend almost all of Stephen King's books. Everything's Eventual is good too...but it's a bunch of short stories rather than a novel (he has some weird ideas lol) I would definitely read The Stand, The Shining and It, they are all great books.

The dark tower is really good but a very long series. It took me a long time to get through it all. Everything's Eventual is a really cool set of short stories that shock or thrill you! Very good! There are a lot of good books by King, just try to find the ones that interest you.

The dark tower series is a good. I have the three copies with me, the last three. If you are interested I could send them to you, cheap. I like Stephen King books, unfortunately I can't afford them to buy everyday. It's quite expensive here so whenever I can get it, I read it.

If I had to choose a favourite Stephen King book, I'd choose It. He spends so much time developing the characters that you really grow quite attached to them as the book goes on. That's the only book that I've read twice, and I've read a lot of books.
