How do you celebrate your birthday?

My birthday is drawing near (this saturday actually),I know that different cultures may have their own way to celebrate the birthday .For example I heard that the Korean would have seaweed soup on that day. How do you celebrate your birthday, do you have special experience to share? Maybe that would give me some hints.

happy birthday in advance!! are you planning to go out for dinner? becuase we are generally so busy, we allow the special birthday person to pick what they want for dinner...we generally dont buy presents but our two daughters do get a friends party to which they can invite several friends
