Do you put your rubbish into the bins after your meal in the fastfood shops?

Let say you are going to have lunch by yourself in a McDonald, you see there are two empty seats at the corner with a tray full of food remains, what will you do? Will you move the tray to the opposite side where no one is sitting? Or you will try to find another seat? Or you will throw it away ? After the lunch, will you throw away the paper package to the rubbish bins and return the tray ?OR will you just leave everything on the table? Many people think they should leave it on the table because they think that the staff get paid and should be reponsible for it and as customers they should be served by someone.. What do you think??

i wonder why there is a tray full of food. maybe someone is coming back to eat it? i would go to a different seat if possible. if not, i will just move the tray to the opposite side. i wont throw it away because somebody bought it and i think they will eat it. if they arent coming back, i think it is the staff's job to clean it up

But most of the time you know the food is left over, and no one will come back to eat again.

We do take care of our own trash and there is usually those sweeping and tidying up so we do not get involved in that. We don't normally see that anyway. People around here through their trash into the bins themselves. We also have no trouble finding a seat. Have never been there and it was crowded. Smaller town and older folk I guess make the difference.

I always clean off the table when I'm done. Theres nothing worse than going to a fast food restaurant and not being able to find a table because people have left all their junk sitting there after they are finished. The way I see it, you have to pass the garbage on the way out so why not just take your stuff and dump it.

True, it is quite annoying when the previous customers did not clean at all and left everything on the table, and the customers who were waitign would have to do the cleaning for the previous customers.

No,after my lunch,i'd definitely throw all the waste in the recycle bin and leave coz i'm responsible for wat i eat and buy...so,i find myself held at charge of polluting the environment....which i HATE to do!

I ALWAYS throw my trash away, wherever I am. Why should I make someone else clean up the mess that I made? Even when you're supposed to leave it, I don't.

I don't clean up after other people if I can help it. I try to find a different seat but if there aren't any then yes, I will put their mess in the bin myself. I couldn't sit there eating looking at other people's remains and it only takes a minute. I ALWAYS clean up after myself out of courtesy for the next person who might need the seat if nothing else!

I always clean my table before and after because most time they don't have time to clean the table after someone else has used it. My children also help clean the table, and thats how it should be.

If that is the only place to sit, I will clean it up myself. I always throw my garbage away and usually wipe the table with a napkin.

Mostly I let the clerk do the bins after meal. But if I found an empty desk which dirty, and I want to sit there, I will remove the trash. I also think that it supposed to staff responsibility to cleaning the room, the desk.

If there were only two seats in McDonalds with a tray full of food remains, Id prolly go clear it and ask the staff to wipe the table or go ahead and take the cloth and wipe it off myself, like I have done in the past. But If Im eating out anywhere, which rarely happens, I have this habit of wiping up the spillages or crumbs from lunch, My friends give me that "what are you doing" look, and I say to them, thats just me where ever i go, I like to leave a clean trail lol.

Yes, I usually put my left-overs into the bin but i woudn't put anyone else's. If there are two empty seats with tray full of food remains i would try to search for another seat or push the 'remains' to a corner.

I would throw it away. I think everyone should throw the trash out as they leave. Most people do throw their trash out and it is rare from my experience that someone just leaves their trash on the table.

Honestly, I'd probably leave it and find someplace else to sit. After I'm done with my meal, I throw away my own trash. It's not like it's a nice restaurant where there are bus boys who clean up the dishes that get washed and reused. In a fast food restaurant, it's all trash and I think one's responsible for one's own trash.

I would take the tray and put the stuff in the bin. Would not like to sit and eat staring at someones leftovers =) I also always throw away all my stuff when I am finished. The people working there are stressed enough and I think for me to put the tray away is a way of helping them

i usually do it but if i don't find at time trashbins around the place.so, i just leave it as it is after eating. yes, if it is a self service store, we should all do our part of cleaning our mess after eating.

It all depends. I usually dump my own garbage, but sometimes, if my son is freaking out and I have lots of things to carry, I will leave the tray on the table. I usually avoid sitting where someone else left their trash, but if it is the only seat, I just move it.

I can understand the situation if you were with your kids, you have to take care of him, and at the same ime you get no hands to throw them into the bins. May be you can ask your son to give you a hand so that he will know the importance of putting the rubbish after the meal, it is a kind of teaching.

My brother and I, do not put the rubbish in the bins. Especially here in the Philippines they are not used to the clean after you eat service. Not like in Australia, which I find is a good habit. Well, so not to pass for crazy people here and also messy persons. We piled up all the glasses, the trays, the forks etc. And live them neatly on the table. So when the crew come to fetch the rubbish. They are all set and he won't have a disgusting time cleaning it. And save him too for calling us names. (^^,LOL)
