Mothers out there, when we have kids running, it is quite puzzling where to start cleaning up the house. I feel this way. I have 2 B/2 B. I would be starting in our bathroom, then the bedroom. Then I have to go to my toddler's room, then the other bathroom. The next is the living room. Then the kitchen. After am done with the kitchen, my toddler is already in her room and starting to get into her things. There are times that I just have to do the living room and the kitchen....the bathroom and bedrooms can wait. I do this because what if I will have visitors all of a sudden and the living room is a mess. Living room and the kitchen usually comes in full view so I make sure that there will be less mess in there. And also the hallway bathroom too, incase the visitor might want to use it.
It is quite frustrating to be doing all this cleaning and you have to instruct members of your household to please please not make as much mess as possible. I already feel tired thinking of all the things I need to be doing around the house.
So, what about you...do you have a cleaning routine around the house? Like you clean the rooms thrice/twice a week. I make sure though, I will have the bathroom clean everyday or every other day. My toddler is into potty training and I make sure everything is clean coz she gets into everything. Kitchen and living room included too.

I make sure the kitchen and living are clean first. I mean the kitchen is a given because I cook in there and don't want our food near anything that could be dirty or untidy. Living room because thats where our kids are the majority of the time. Next i'd do the bathroom. Bedrooms come last here. I make sure the kids ones are clean and safe, but mine is a disaster!

I can just imagine and my bedroom is the last priority if am just too busy in the house. And you are right, kitchen should be the first to avoid food contamination, etc. My kitchen is spotless during the weekend. We go out to eat and I welcome it because for once, I will not be putting dishes on the dishwasher and washing pots and pans, etc. Thanks for the comment.

If you keep your bedroom door shut, that will be 2 less rooms that she can mess, However, you can always get the toddler to help by making a game of picking up the toys, and by giving her a cloth to clean the front of the cupboards or the doors while you tackle the sink, tub and toilet.

I put a child proof thing in our bedroom doorknob so she can't get in there, but her bedroom, she can access that. Not all times, she wants to play Mommy's helper but she picks up her room, I just do the vacuuming and she help me with the bedsheets. If am cleaning the bathroom, I gave her the wand to clean the tub, but if am spraying Lysol around, I don't want her breathing into all that. Majority of the time, I just clean by myself because it will take me less time to do. The laundry though, she keeps on helping me. I let her fold the face towels or let her put her own stuff on the washer, with my supervision of course.
Thanks for the tips and insight.
