What Are Your Thoughts On The War In Iraq?

Just wondering what people thought about the current war that we are fighting in Iraq. Do you agree with what's going on down there? Should we start pulling troops out and get them back home, back to their families? Was it right for us to go and invade Iraq in the first place? Those are just some of the questions I ponder sometimes because, in my opinion, and I am a veteran of the U.S. Army, that we should have been more careful before we invaded Iraq. I feel for our military personnel because our own government has the power to do whatever they want. The soldiers serving our country are just puppets in this whole political game that we're playing. They don't have any say in it, they just follow orders. Don't get me wrong, I am grateful for the Iraqi people now that we helped them get rid of Saddam, but are they any better than before? The U.S. is so concerned about other countries problems that we can't even help our own country. We're spending billions of our money, our tax payers money, to fund the war yet we can't even provide money for healthcare, social security, or even education. What is going on here? I believe that we should start focusing more on our problems here in the U.S. before we go out there and help other people. I really hope this war ends soon, which coming from experience, I doubt it ever will. We should have listened to France and Germany and waited for more details if there really was weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Isn't that why we invaded Iraq in the first place? Now we're looking dumb because we didn't find any. What do you think?
