opinion about generous paul macartney

fews years back paul macartney came to goa with heather mills.on a beach in goa paul bought a pineapple worth 5 indian rupees and gave the pineapple vendor 500 rupees and told him to keep the change.a small fortune by indian standard.i would like to know your opinion about pauls generosity.

I had not heard about that incident but think it was a very kind gesture. I have always been a big fan of Paul McCartney and love to hear any stories about celebrities who quietly do random acts of kindness. It is nice to know that they are not always doing it for the publicity.

That is a very good thing he did. The problem would arise if people came to expect it of celebrities all the time. I get the feeling that a lot of them hardly have to pay for anything as the managers think it is great publicity to say that the famous person has visited there. It annoys me when the rich stars are just performing for free and expecting us to donate to whichever fund raising event it is this time. Why don't they just donate some of their vast fortunes!
