I just want to pass this along since a lot of people don't know everything;) I don't know everything either, but this is some great information to consider. 1. There are complications with circumcision. It may not happen to your son, but there is a chance. Why take it? http://www.circumcisionquotes.com/complications.html They include Adhesions to glans, Post-circumcision coronal adhesions, Untidy circumcision, Phimosis after circumcision, Post-circumcision phimosis, Meatal Stenosis, Narrow Stream meatal stenosis, Radical circumcision, Missing frenulum, Bleeding hemophelia, Post-circumcision fistula, Post-division of adhesions, Partial glans amputation,Dead pen!s,Death. 2. It doesn't prevent urinary tract infections, http://www.infocirc.org/uti2.htm 3. It can impact breastfeeding,http://www.nocirc.org/statements/breastfeeding.php 4. Does not reduce risk of cancer http://www.cirp.org/library/statements/letters/1996-02_ACS/5. Babies will feel pain and remember it http://www.infocirc.org/babypain.htm 6. Can effect their future love life http://www.boystoo.com/medical/conversion.htm 7. Your babies body part could be used for wrinkle cream http://www.nbc10.com/health/1808693/detail.html 8. A different view on what the bible says about circumcision http://www.udonet.com/circumcision/christian.html and finally a great site with lots of different things to look into http://www.circumstitions.com/ I'm not trying to debate, I'm just trying to get some different information so you can make an informed choice. Thank you.

Great info I had no idea that they use the foreskin in wrinkle cream thats shocking to me especially since my boys are both circumsized the thought that my childs skin from their... you know is on someones face thats disturbing. My boys were lucky enough to not have any of the problems listed above. Another thing people don't often know is that it's an expensive procedure that most insurance plans don't cover. It's also surgery and as with any other surgery there are many risks. I don't think it's really common practice anymore to circumcize last I heard it was 60% don't circumsize 40%do (in the US)Where I live it was very difficult to even find a Dr to preform the surgery we had to drive to a different city.

I heard that it was easier to clean and thereby cut down on infections. If the child is not circumsized, then an infection can cause a whole lot of problems then and later in life. Not to be nasty or anything, but in my opinion it also looks better to the eye when it is circumsized. To me, when it is not circumsized, it looks deformed. I know that in the bible the Isrealites had to be circumsized, I can not argue with that because I have read it for myself.

my husband has been intact for 27 years with no problems, not one infection. Personally, I think they look funny intact or circumsized.
