Was it worth it?

I haven't watched the movie 300 (yet) and I would like to know your opinion about it before I watch it.
Was it worth the time? the money? going to the theater?
is it recommended? should I go and watch it or pass?
From what I've heard from a friend of mine it's not such of a good movie but from my impression from pictures and the plot it's a MUST to see. can you help me?

It's a definite must see and if you can you should try to see it on the IMAX screen. The action is almost non-stop and the acting is great. Also it is a visual masterpiece that really has to be seen in the theater to get the full effect.

of course, yes. 300 is an absolutely terrific movie. the attitude, the valour the spartans display send a chill down my spine. so much to keep their honour. they challenged and even demured a person who projected himself as god. i think they were bogged down by the wrong priests who just had no respect for these warriors. my personal favorite line in the movie when the king says : SPARTANS NEVER RETREAT!!!!!!!!!!. the greatest sequence when the king as a young lad fights the beast and also , when he kicks the intruder into the well..
