People complain all the time how grocery prices keep going up and we can buy less and less for our money.
Many people have started to buy no brand names or generic label products because they are much cheaper.
I often buy store brand name products but there are certain things that I find I like just too much and I refuse to give up.
One is Heinz ketchup, I don't like the taste of other brands
another is highliner and starkist products, I am not a big fish lover myself but I can't even swallow the generic name fish products
how about you are there any brands names you simply can't give up to save a few cents?

There are a variety of things .. which I can't give up just to save some money .. These are :
1. Roopak's Store -- Rose Water -- I can't buy it from any other place .. because I have seen this is the only shop which is offering a pure Rose Water
2. Pantene -- Smooth & Silky Hair Conditioner -- It's simply one of the best thing that worked wonders for my hair
3. Johnsons & Johnsons Nizoral Shampoo -- It's just amazing and my dandruff is all gone.
4. Oral B Exceed Toothbrush -- One of the best toothbrush.
5. Maybelline -- Wonder Finish Make up -- Excellent for makeup
.. I have a long list... better just end up here :))

I too buy some store name brands for certain items, like toilet paper, slices processed cheese, peanut butter, mustard, vinegar, oil, etc. But for some things, i stick with the brand name, like Hellman's real mayonnaise, Lactancia margarine, Purex laundry detergent, Palmolive dishes soap, Downy fabric softener. For some, i'll trade to the store name brand, but for some others, i'll stick with my initial favorite brand.

Most of the timme I will buy what's on sale because I like to budget shop. There are a few things I won't skimp on though. Laundry detergent is one of those things. I only buy chicken of the sea tuna, and refuse to buy anything but Heinz ketchup.

I usually just buy generic products myself as I find them much cheaper than products with brand name. The more money I save from these generic products the more grocery items I can buy.
But of course there are just some brand name products which I can't do without. One is my shampoo, I always stick to Pantene because my hair would have dandruff if I used anything else. I also can't do without my Pond's facial cleanser, I would grow pimples if I used another product. But for everything else I can make do with generic products.

I have found that my pasta must be Barilla, ronzoni.I just love good pasta and can not stand that flour pasty tast of the cheaper brands..Other then that I can't think of anything.Oh yes bread is another item..If I can not get it from the bakery fresh then it must be arnolds or friephofers(mis spelled)..

I am loyal to one thing only: SALES. For lunch today I enjoyed:
-store-brand chocolate chip cookies (half the price of Chips Ahoy, and just as tasty IMO)
-"no name" pudding cup (4 for $.99? HECK YES!)
-store-brand tea
OK, I suppose there is one brand that I love and rarely substitute. Breyer's Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. Delicious!

Sure we can, but being brand-concious always feels good. It makes you glad from inside and gives internal satisfaction that you're using something which is admired all over the world, or all over the country you could say.
N sure, i can always spend some extra bucks on brand name, if it isn't too high.

I have been buying generic for years. With four children it was a necessity! As for being brand loyal, there isn't really anything that I am loyal to, that I can think of off the top of my head.

I remember when generic foods first came out. There was talk that they were processed by the same name-brand companies, just packaged differently. I don't believe that to be true. My family tried them but never bought anything more than once. I do like some of Aldi's new products, they have improved a lot over the last few years. For the most part, I stick to familiar brands because you can expect consistant quality. I have tried some store brands that weren't bad, like frozen chicken and even coffee beans. I don't trust generic products. I mean, just what are they compromising on? The aluminum foil, garbage bags and toilet paper are actually a waste of money. And just what is "cheese food product"? It doesn't melt, I know that much!

I used to only purchase brand names but now we shop at AlDI's and they only carry their brand name and we love them. They are every bit as good as the famous brand names and much cheaper. Not just a few cents cheaper but alot cheaper.

I will not by generic on some things either! A few of them are
1. toliet paper (unless it is a really good generic)
2. aluminum foil
3. Velveeta cheese
4. Oreo cookies
5. spagetti sauce (I find generics too watery)

sorry to say it
but you and me both could stand to lose a few pounds
I don't mean to be mean, really, I need to lose 45 pounds myself
anyway, why not buy HALF the groceries and better quality
maybe more fruits and veggies, less processed things
try $10 a day or even $5 a day, but the best brands you can get Muir Glen is better than Heinz

The two things that I have to buy name brand, are boars head smoked turkey, I cant stand the taste of the other brands for some reason, and peanut butter. I don't like how generic peanut butter tastes. Other than that, I have no problems buying generic, and I always try to do so.
