I just got the good news that Don Imus has been cancelled. Before today, I had never heard of the comments that he made against Maya Angelou. Saying that "Whitey pulled her out of the jungle." Who does this guy thing he is. Then he referred to another African American as a maid. And that is just all that I can remember him saying. America will not survive if we can not join together as a group and love one another in spite of our differences. This is a crying shame, that after all this time we are still having to be subjected to such hatred. I know that we will never live in a perfect world, but I also know that we can never allow prejudice to get out of hand as it was before. When we see it, we can not over look it, we have to stamp it out at once and make sure that these haters no longer have a voice to speak out against certain people just because they are different.

I agree with you. THe Rutgers remarks were only the latest in a series of racial slurs he has made. BTW his show has not been canceled, but MSNBC has decided to stop simulcasting it.
