How many times can you loose vital signs before you are dead? My Dad had last rights once, he had pneumonia in 1929, they thought he was dead, my aunt Judy called my uncle Ray for supper a couple of times once and when he didn't come she went looking and found him in bed sleeping, wrong, she checked his heartbeat, -0-. No heartbeat. She was crying talking on the telephone to the hospital and he walked up behind her and said what's for supper. She almost had a heart attack. I wrecked my car once and according to the paramedic who had been checking up on me thru my 20 day coma to see if I was going to live, I lost vital signs three times. He said that was after the tow truck driver lowered my car from the tree that I had put it in, and later after the jaws of life couldn't open the doors they took an abrasive saw and cut the top off. My almost totally restored 1973 911T Porsche, I could have cried when I got out of the hospital. Just to get me out. Then there is the heart damage which resulted, they cut me wide open, not to mention memory loss, and hip problems, scars . . funny thing about an NDE though, it changes one's perspectives . .
