Each time I am wanting to relieve my stress I will do different things. It also all depends upon what it is that is stressing me out at that point in time. As each time I am stressed out it may be due to a variety of different reasons. Some of the things that I tend to turn to a large majority of the time to relieve my stress would have to be as follows:
- Sometimes I will curl up in my bed with a good book, but also a nice hot cup of tea. I find the tea helps me to relax, as well it helps me to get even more involved in what it is I may be reading. I find doing both things at once can be rather relaxing for me personally.
- In the past I have also used a stress ball. I have found it to work quite a bit in the past. But sadly we ended up leaving it behind at the previous place we had lived.
- Sometimes I also will try to get away for a day. By making reservations at a hotel with a jacuzzi or even going away on vacation for a bit. I haven't ever gone on vacation all to far away from home.. But I've found that sometimes just taking off for a road trip helps one to.. Get away from the stress in there daily life.
- Sometimes I will also go for a nice long walk. I find by doing this sometimes it helps to clear my mind. And it usually ends up working wonders. Sometimes I find after taking a walk that I am able to re-collect my thoughts & feelings, & then after I am on my way back home.. I will sometimes find that I see things in a different light afterwards.
- Sometimes I will sit down & start writing out my thoughts, as well as feelings out on paper. Or even online sometime. I find it helps me to feel a lot better about things within my life. It also helps me to under why it is that I may be experiencing the emotions that I am at that current time. I as well will then feel like I am unloading something onto paper instead of keeping it bottled within.
- Sometimes I will also make an appointment at a massage parlor & will go & treat myself & get a massage. I don't do this on a regular basis as it then can become rather expensive.. And also due to the reason that a large majority of the time I can just ask my other half to give me a massage instead for free. But sometimes it's nice to go to a professional because they know some good techniques on how to get the kinks out of my neck, as well as my back.
- Sometimes I find baking helps me to feel a lot better about things. I find it helps to relax me, but at the same time.. I seem to always end up being in a better mood after I have finished baking.
- If I am feeling rather upset about something or angry sometimes I find the best thing to do is just to take a nap. So I will lay down with my puppy for a little bit & after I had woken up sometimes I end up feeling a lot better about things. And I feel there is nothing wrong than being able to catch up on some well needed rest.
- Sometimes I find just being able to be around someone who can make me laugh is a good stress reliever in general. Especially the type of people who can make you laugh to the point where your tummy aches so much afterwards. I think positive people are the best people to be around whenever one is feeling upset. I know it helps to work for me!
In conclusion.. I find all of these to be good stress relievers for me each time I may be stressed out about something in my daily life. I like how if one thing doesn't end up working out for me I can try another. And keep trying until I find something that works. I find it not only helps me to take my mind off of things.. But at the same time it ends up helping me to feel like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders! . .
Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

I do a bunch of things like read my Bible or pray, or I'll call my friends to vent and go out to eat or something.
