I've Had Company, Now I'm Going Out of Town

My husband is taking me out of town for 5 days starting tomorrow. We will be attending a reunion of grads from my high school and also I will be celebrating my 65th birthday while we're gone. I didn't want any of my friends here to think I was ignoring them. I had my sisters here over the Easter weekend to celebrate my birthday early, and we took the last one to the airport today for her flight home, so I haven't been around much for the past week. We will be back home Tuesday. Have fun while we're gone.

Happy Birthday! Family is fun, but I often feel like a vacation when they leave. Good for your husband for taking you on a little getaway.

After a weekend with family I am sure the trip will make for restful change....unless of course your reunion is a blast with lots of time spent catching up over the years.

Thanks to everyone for all the comments. We made it home safe and sound today. We had a fun, but not too restful, time at the reunion. Since I'm one of the organizers, my time was really tied up. We didn't even get to sleep in until this morning...stayed in bed until 9 am...LOL. But we sure had some great food and did a lot of catching up since the reunion last year. After the others left Sunday morning, we drove all around the area all day looking at neighborhoods and homes for sale. Now we just have to sell our home here in South FL and move up to north/central FL later this year when hubby retires. I can't wait.

Yes, I'm beat...but it was all worth it. Now we've got our oldest granddaughter's wedding on June 9. I'll be exhausted when we return from that also...but we're very happy for her and her husband-to-be. They are a great young couple.
