The Best Computer Maintinance Software

After managing to stupidly put a virus on my computer, i immediately went into my usual lock down routine. I updated all of my spy ware and anti-virus software, and then disconnected from the internet, and cracked down on every problem with my computer i could find. Upon reemerging on the internet i began looking up a host of good maintenance programs to supplement my own which have been very good to me over the last few years. The programs i run regularly are AdAware, Spybot for all my adware and spyware worries, and then Norton for virus. Also i recently came across Registry Booster which is a great way to improve performance of your computer through cleaning up a messy registry. Last but not least CCleaner helps with a whole lot of space saving as well, and lets you get rid of old programs that you're sure you deleted years ago that want to stick around as shortcuts, and what programs you load when you start your computer. What software do you use regularly? I'd like to know what other great programs are out there.

I've used Avant as well, for an anti-virus program. I have used McAfee also, but none of them seem to be able to get rid of some of the things that I'm getting on my computer. I am not about to reformat again, as I just did it back in February, and I don't need that right now. What I need is a true nerd to work on my stuff, and make things right again. Wonder how I'm going to do that.... Oh, I basically use the same type of spyware programs, but I also have AOL spyware protection :) It works as well as the rest of them.

Thank you so much for this valuable information. I always look for new and good software to protect my computer as I am using the internet a lot. My computer crashed one time and I lost almost everything I had to reformat my hard drive so now I'm always worried that it will crash again. I have Adware, spybot and Avast. Could you please tell me if Registery booster and Ccleaner are free? Besides Adware and spybot the other software that I run regularly is "Windows Defender", I think it's like Adware. It is free.
