American Idol has jumped the shark

Ratings are going down fast on Idol, and the only reason anybody is watching this year is to see how long Sanjaya will stay on the show. I mean, come on, are there any real big names this year whatsoever? Last year we had Chris Daughtry, and before that, Carrie Underwood. This year, who's going to be the big star? Sanjaya himself? Or will Paula die of a speedball before that even happens?

TOTALLY AGREED. I doubt I would ever buy an album from any of the people left on that show. I like blake best, but he probably wont win. I like what he sings but who knows what he would be forced to sing if he did win. The rest of them I dont even care anymore. Melinda has a good voice, but I wouldn't buy a CD from her. If Sanjaya wins, I would consider never watching the show again!

I think Melinda is the best singer but I keep watching because Simon is more entertaining than some of the contestants.

Me too. I just watch the show only because Simon is entertaining and Paula too can mimmic stuffs well.The Judges are my only attraction of American Idol.

That is the only reason I am watching it now. There are a lot of good singers there. The one I liked has all ready been voted off, and she was a whole lot better than Sanjaya. To me he was the worse and should have never been in the top 12. Ohh well Next week is country week will have to see if he will finally get booted off.

LOL..I agree with you. I think people are just watching the show just to see if how sanjaya can survive the trial. I don't really watch this show for I don't see any new here and things to to watch on except for sanjaya. naahhhh.. I just watch it on how sanjaya's look will change every week.

Yeah, AI is not all that exciting this year. Maybe that's why they are stirring up this whole Sanjaya thing. I can see Jordon doing well after the show and maybe Melinda. Melinda seems to be an old soul. Her song choices reflect that. She might not make it in the pop scene. I haven't been voting this year because I just don't care. However, if Sanjaya wins I might just have to stop watching.

I think that Jordin has the possibility of being a big star. She really does have a beautiful voice, and she's so cute and bubbly and endearing, I think it could happen for her. Can you tell who my pick to win it is??
