Why did NBC stop simulcasting Don Imus' show?

Oh wait, I know: because he's simulcasted from 3-7 AM here, times when NOBODY IS WATCHING. Nice job doing nothing and making it look like you are doing something, NBC. Nobody cares about Imus to begin with, but that early in the morning, his ratings had to have been in the negatives, with nothing but sketchy hookup lines, Girls Gone Wild, and wannabe colleges advertising on his show. Who cares? It's such a slow news time right now that if something else were going on, NOBODY would care about Imus. They just need to have something to talk about though, I guess.

He called some black girls on some college basket ball team "nappy heads" from what I heard when he was on giving a second public apology and being berated by Al Sharpton.
While on the air during that show, it was said that Imus would be suspended starting Monday and it would last for 2 weeks. I just heard today that he was cancelled entirely.
That's really sad when a Minister has no forgiveness in his heart. The suspension was appropriate, I felt. What Imus said was in extremely poor taste, but the man did all but bow down and kiss Sharpton's behind. Getting a man fired out of spite does not really seem like a Christian thing to do to me.
