i do love to cook but sometimes i am too lazy to do it. my favorite ingredients are onion, garlic and fish sauce. Those are my basic ingredient because they bring out the flavor in foods.

I do, really i have so much fun in cooking and really enjoys it alot ,experimenting with different dishes. Three things for me would be onions, tomatoes and salt ,you have given very little to choose hopefully i'll get all the ingredients all the time and just not restricted to three.I can cook without garlic and pepper though but not without salt just really necessary for the taste.

I really love to cook and to try out new dishes from different countries. After some thought I'd have to say that for me it's also garlic (smoked only though), onion and black pepper that I can't live without! They add so much taste to any dish that I'm making and can make an otherwise bland meal really special and interesting.

yes, i love to cook . i enjoy inviting people at my place and serve them home made food. the three things which i love are cumin, asofetida, garlic.i love using spices in my cooking and i love to use cinnamon too. i love its smell. i have it into powder form also because sometime i use its powder and somewhere i sue the stick of it.the aroma while cooking with these things is soo good that my hubby after every 5 min. enters into the kitchen just to take the smell of the coking item.and i love to see him coming in / going out.

I definitely love to cook and generally experiment in the kitchen with different foods, sauces and spices that I otherwise wouldn't think of. Some foods come together surprisingly well to where others aren't so great.
However, I'm all about the onions, italian seasoning and garlic cloves.

I hate to rock the boat amongst so many avid cooks but I hate cooking. I get out of it if I possibly can - I am lucky that my husband does not mind doing it. The main trouble is I can't see the point of spending so much time pottering in the kitchen for something that is either going to be rejected by my children or wolfed down without touching the sides!!!

Cooking is not my kind of thing-I just like to eat good adequately salted food that the cook has prepared with a focused mind, its not burned, its not over salted, its well spiced and its on time! Cooking? No I dont like it!

i love to cook, i love to experiment with new dishes that i share with my family. there are dishes that we will cook again a few weeks after as they are successfully done, others i have to redo since it lacks something.. it is really a fun thing for me to do.

I do enjoy cooking a lot and I just can't cook without shallot, garlic and ginger. I am not sure if it is just my feeling or the reality, for me if I just missed these ingredients then my cooking wouldn't taste nice and taste what it suppose to be. It is also due to our country food which need herbs and spices a lot in cooking.

A famous chef once said that all good meals begin with an onion, and I'm inclined to agree.
Ideally, I couldn't live without tomatoes, onion, and garlic, but as I've sworn to spend the rest of my life with someone who hates tomatoes, gets indigestion from onions, and can handle garlic in small quantities only, I've learned that while I won't live without them, I certainly can.
That said, I'm going to have to go with onions, celery, and carrots. A good old fashioned mirepoix can go a million different ways and carries a lot of flavor.

Im a person that loves to cook, always objecting to dining out lol. I like to cook Italian, Mexican, Chinese and traditonal food of my own culture. The three main ingredients that we cant live without is garlic or garlic salt, chillies and Italian herbs. There are more, but you've asked for three. so yeah... Why? Because they add so much more flavour to any dish. These essentials can make something plain and tasteless come to life.

u use loads of garlic, tomatoes, and onion. the garlic has to be well pounded. i want to see the juice ooze out from the flesh of the garlic.
i like fish sauce better than salt because the latter has a distinct flavor and aroma.
i dont use monosodium glutamate and other instant products like the ginisa mix, sinigang mix, and others. those products have chemicals that we consumers are not very well-versed about. some say its harmful some say its not.but i have nothing against it. it's just that it's better to cook and eat naturally!
eat well, live well!

Cooking is alright but I don't have the love of it that the other responses say they have. I do enjoy it more since I got different kinds of pans. I used to buy dollar store brand pans and hated to cook. A little bit ago I decided to buy more expensive pans and if I had realized the difference in whether I enjoyed cooking or not I would have bought them a long time ago. I bought T-fal pans and they are heavenly to cook with. I don't mind cooking at all now. I didn't realize that buying a good pan would make that much difference. But at least for me it has. I use a variety of different spices. There are none that I can say are my favorites and can't live without.
