I haven't worried about Friday the 13th nor experienced any unusual with this date. I'm not really superstitious. But when this day arrives, people usually say that you have to be more careful/ Maybe it's just coincidences that people have been unlucky with Friday and the number 13. It is fear that is demonstrated with the number 13. We can see that hotels doesn't have 13th floors. Hospitals and hotels doesn't have room number 13. Some cities doesn't have 13th street or 13th avenue, and a lot more. T
his superstition have started since ancient times. That it continues until now in our educated world. I guess it just stems from the belief or practice that man could use to protect himself from circumstances beyond his control.

I love the number 13, it's always been Good for me! :)
I love getting an extra one of anything, like in a bakers dozen, I enjoy the fact that the Lunar Calendar has 13 Full Moons, my Lady friends all love to visit me around that time, because their, er, "energies" run very high... it's great time for Celebrations and such and my Creativity soars... what's not to Love about that?

Walt Kelly, who drew the wonderful political cartoon strip 'Pogo', had a saying every month. One or his characters would inevitably exclaim(depending on what day of the week was the 13th), "Fiday the 13th come on a tuesday this month." It's just another day, and another prime number.

Nothing bad has ever happened to me on a Friday the 13th but I am still superstitious about it and I don't always seem to have the best luck so everytime there is a Friday the 13th I worry a little bit. Try to take the day easy and not do too much so that you don't put yourself in situations that could end up bad.

February 13th is the luckiest day of my life so any number 13 I considered lucky.
Many Christians have long believed that Friday was unlucky because it was the day of the week when Jesus was crucified. The number 13 was believed to bring bad luck because there were 13 people at The Last Supper. Since there were 12 tribes of Israel, that number was considered lucky

I hate to admit it, but I am a little superstitious. I do the salt over the shoulder thing. I get freaked about about breaking a mirror and nervous if the black cat crosses my path. I know that everybody says that superstitions are silly and I say that too, but when it comes down to it if I'm being completely honest with myself I am superstitious.

Hi mummymo. Superstitious? I get that feeling sometimes but I usually just shrug it off. I think it's the influence of books and tv and movies. Have to read that link.. I learned about Friday the 13th being bad from the movie of the same title. Then later in books that I read. Before that I never knew it was a belief held by others. Something bad always happen to me but not on this date, as far as I can remember. Thanks and may it turn out to be a great wedding. All the best!

Contrary to belief, Friday 13th is actually very lucky for me, I have had windfalls in the past on a Friday 13th. I am not superstitious, and will even walk under ladders etc. I think it's just coincidence if something bad happens to you on this day and nothing more, I would interested too in how the superstition came about, I know the number 13 itself is deemed unlucky itself to some.

Well I used to be very superstitious of this day until I actually met my husband on the 13th so that changed my mind about that as you know I have been married for 26 years. And nothing so far has happened badly for me on this date so hopefully nothing will go wrong tomorrow either. I don't know how it really started.

I guess I'm just contrary, because Friday the 13th has always been a lucky day for me. I'm thinking I should play the lottery or something tomorrow and see if I can make that luck really pay off!
