i want to get a tattoo. i have it drawn and i know where i want it. i'm not scared at all about the pain just worried i might get addicted to them. for years now i have wanted demon wings on my back i have them picked out and i never changed them but now i want another one before i get my wings. it is a pretty little star with twisty stuff on it that i'm gonna get on my sternum. i plan on getting it this monday but the only thing is in all perfect honesty i think tattoos are trashy but mine really do mean something to me so i want to know what you think should i get them or not?

Okay, woah. No, they won't kill you. Just go to a reputable artist, and you'll be fine. They use new needles for each tat and the ink is safer now than its ever been. It doesn't even hurt that much any more. No, you can't airbrush it on, you're just going to have to suck it up. They are not a significant medical concern as you age. Any stats you've heard are for people COVERED in ink, and those aren't even supported scientifically. They were musings of the medical community taken as gospel (oops) by conservative Christian types.
Relax. Make sure you want it. Don't pick a picture off the wall (draw your own, or have the artist do it), and enjoy the ride. At the end of the day, it's just skin deep.

God made you in his own image-if the picture on your logo is you, then I am seeing an exceedingly awesome lady! You do not need to go through all that pain ashleyiawesomeness. I will plead with you to spare your sternum the brutality of having it battered with some sharp object in the name of a tatoo! Am sorry am this outdated d of a man who is perhaps not in tune with modernity, take it or just leave my advise!

To be completely honest, getting a tattoo runs the risk of becoming addicted to it. After I got my first one about a year ago all I could think about was getting more. I'm going in a little less than a month to get my next one for my 18th birthday and I really couldn't be more excited. I think if you've thought long and hard about it and you realize that it's a lifelong commitment, then you're ready to get one. Just be sure to find a reputable place that won't mess around, good luck!
