is it possible to have a twin and get one aborted when you accidentally drank a high dose pain killer or other prescription drugs?
you found out that you are pregnant through a pregnancy test (over the counter). you get careless. your tooth aches, you take a drug and you bleed profusely with some unidentifiable fleshy things. you have an ultrasound and the doctor tells you the baby is safe but you dont say you took a drug coz you dont want to get reprimanded. you now hear the relatives speak about the likeliness of having "twins" as it runs in the family from both sides.
how are you gonna be sure that the bleeding you had was just blood and not a life?

Hello, based on my opinion you should ask your doctor right away to check your baby's condition. You should tell your the doctor the whole scenario for him/her to find out. When you say abortion we usually use the term that "It is beyond our knowledge. But as you have said it, it is accidentally done so it can be also considered as an abortion." While when we say miscarriage, it is a situation which usually a mother experience some blood spotting which is not normal during pregnancy. Sometimes, it is normal to have small blood spotting during the first two months of pregnancy.

Abortion or a miscarriage? Because if you are talking about abortion, well that is done by a doctor and then in that case the doctor would of known if there was twins.
If you are asking about a miscarriage and that you think you had one, well that is another story. Usually if you are going to miscarry, you will miscarry both, if pregnant with twins. But to be safe, ask a doctor, but I doubt.
Plus just because you had a heavy period, doesn't mean it was a miscarriage. If the doctor says you look fine then you are probably fine. Plus a doctor can tell if you have had a miscarriage. I have had two.

Not something you really can be sure of. Clearly you are not carrying twins at the moment as the scan showed just one baby.
I guess it might be possible that you lost one but it also just might have been bleeding for another reason. Ask your doctor.
