SANJAYA- Lives another Week! America Idol Mystery!!

I don't know what it is about Sanjaya, but the general public seems to like him. American Idol idol isn't necessarily a contest of skill, it also is a popularity contest. If someone is more likable than another contestant, but is less talented, he will most likely win out. Look at last year's winner, Taylor Hicks. He was not as talented as the other runner-ups, but he had a likable personality.

Sanjaya in my eyes has been the worse each week- There is just something about him that I don't care for- I think your advice for Haley wold ring true with Sanjaya-- He needs experience. Grow up a bit-- get some more training and more experience- He might actually turn into a great singer. He could always do Disney! I thought the show was ok- I can't wait for next week- I love country music-- So it'll be my favorite show- I hope everyone sings some great country songs- Look at all the previous Idols that went Country- Kellie Pickler, Bucky Covington, Carrie Underwood.. I hope the guys sing Kenny Chesneys songs!

I used to enjoy the show but as i can't stand my favourite ones being 'malakered' every next week,so i gave up watching American Idol.Many of my favourite classic music were also butchered by them this season too.I'm worried but sooner or later they are gonna represent Americans in every field, from dentists to being singing idols.

Yeah I think Sanjaya got to stay for the right reasons this time round. He actually did good I thought, and it wasn't the worse song of the night either. I didn't think Haley or Phil did well and was actually glad Haley left. She doesn't have a good singing voice, infact I think her and Sanjaya sing about the same, but Sanjaya knows how to pick the right songs to suit his voice, as for Haley the song she chose was completely wrong (but thats my opinion). I wouldn't be surprised if we do see an album/cd out by her in a year or two. I think Phil might be next to go, but then again, who knows until they actually sing their songs :) I am hoping Jordon wins - I like her personality and it shows through every time she sings :)

If you think about it, musical ability has little to do with fame these days. It's about who can sell cd's and concert tickets. And judging from america's response to this young man, he may well be the next one. I think the best thing that could happen to Melinda or Lakisha (my 2 favorites) would be to NOY win. Then they wouldnt be contracted to simon for how ever many years t=is required and could do their own thing and be hugely successful on their own merits and talents which are honestly, the best I have ever seen grace the american idol stage.

Haley deserved to go home this week and I'm not sorry to see her go. This isn't a beauty pagent so her long legs could only get her so far. Sanjaya is growing on me which is probably a good thing since he's not going anywhere anytime soon and may make it into the top three. However, the judge's favorite is clearly Jordin and I think they hope she wins.

I do not think Sanjaya was the worst this week but I was still hoping that he would go home as I still think he is the worst singer of the group. Hopefully he will get booted off next week. I am hoping he forgets his words or something so that people can not vote for him. I am glad that Haley went home this week though I thought Phil would get voted off. I think either Phil or Sanjaya will leave next week. Haley is cute but only got votes because of her showing off her legs and being pretty. This is not a modeling contest or beauty pageant.

You are right, Sanjaya wasn't the best this week, but he wasn't the worst either. I think Sanjaya might actually win though. The polls say that more and more people are talking and even voting for him. SO who knows? Maybe Sanjaya might just make it...

Well yes i don't think he was the best. He certainly wasn't the worst. However i like the way sanjaya carries himself on stage and i think that might just take him to the top.

I think Sanjaya actually did halfway decent this week. Not the best of the bunch...but still decent. I thought Haley just didn't do that good this time. I have to admit, I agreed with Simon for once. She was using the minimal clothing to draw attention away from her singing. She just hasn't been giving it as much as she did at the beginning. I'm still rooting for Melinda and Blake...they are my faves.

It is a democratic voting process, and I think that he deserves to stay for the very reason that he got the votes to remain a part of the competition. I have nothing against this young man, but I think he is struggling very hard to adjust to all the fame, and to figure out what kind of image he wants to protray. I will admit that I honestly felt that the mustache would give him the boot.

The only reason Sanjaya is staying is because of two reasons. One, young girls are voting for him because they think he's cute. Two, there's a web site and Howard Stern, no, not that Howard K. Stern, is pushing this too - to vote for him to ruin American Idol. I'm so glad that Haley got voted off. I don't think she can sing well. She's a lounge singer and that's it. Sure she'll get a record deal being that sexy. I just can't believe that Chris was in the bottom three. Now that's scary.

Surprisingly, he wasn't that bad this week, he was actually good. But Chris in the bottom three? I think he sang better than Sanjaya. Although, I'm not surprised that Haley got booted off, it was a bit karaokeish as Simon said, it was a choice between her and Phil.

I think this week Sanjaya will still not be in the bottom two and coming from an American Idol lover, I think it is a shame because so many promising singers are being voted off the show and crushing some of their dreams of making it big. He is not even close to being a good singer. But every year, we have to go through this with one of the contestants because of all these little teenagers calling in. Its a real shame. so i say sanjaya will not win American Idol but he will be on for a while.

I agree with you. Sanjaya was good this week. I will quit watching if Melinda, Jordon or LaKeisha gets voted off before Sanjaya. The American public does get it right in the end, lets hope they get it right this year. Haley is cute and she does have talent, she will be able to go far with her career.

I must admit that I was stunned by his performance. I really didn't know he had that in him. I thought him singing with that orchestra was really nice. I agree. He wasn't the best, but he wasn't the worst. Lloyd

i don't have anything against him, but i think he should have gone home a long time ago. come on america, vote well, lol!!
