Our support

Quite un-Pc of me, but is anyone else secretly pleased that our support has regained it's nasty element in the last year or so?
Liverpool came and took a hiding outside, Roma came and tried to take the piss and got done in. Think Arsenal fans suffered the same fate. Violence against innocent people or scarfers is obviously out of the line but I can't say I'm at all sorry to see the idiots who turned up with their 'invasion' t-shirts or the cretins who do aeroplanes behind police cordons get a slap or two.
In past years I think our support has become a bit sanitised, fans used to roll up and take the piss out of the ground and we'd usually not do much about it. I know violence is never nice and in the long run it could cost us, but the viciousness and sheer nastiness of our 'core' support in the last year ( Anfield away in the cup last year seemed to have reignited it) has contributed to Old Trafford becoming a really horrible place for teams to come IMO. Also makes for a much better atmosphere inside.

I don't know much about these things, because I've never been involved in a brawl. I guess it's wrong to fight for teams you like, in a game. After all, it's just a game. If it were a war, I'd gladly join in the fray.
