Even if I were rich I wouldn't buy an expensive car, I might have two cheaper ones so I always have a car on hand, but I don't believe it is worth spending heeps on a car that gets parked in a gutter, slammed into by supermarket trollys and is just a thing to get me from point A to point B....

I agree. If you have the extra $$ why not! And there's always the car that will be in your dreams to aim for if you win the lottery.

My current care isn't fancy or expensive but it looks nice, i was lucky enough to buy it brand new & it does the job.
I have to admit, if i could afford my dream car, then for sure i'd buy it - i've just always wanted it! If i could afford a luxury car with all the fancy safety features then i'd get it if i had the cash to do so!
I don't believe it's worth getting in to debt over just to have that fancy car but if by some chance i came in to some BIG money then yep, i'd spend whatever the price was for my car.
Having said that, thinking about it is a bit odd coz the car i dream of owning is worth more than my home - LOL! I'd still have one though:)
