Wow..Just completed 100 posts.Got my star.Is it good?

Hello rb200406, congratulations to you very much. I am newbie here and i am also reaching 100 posts here, hopefully i can reach my 1st buck in myLot very soon :) How much did you get after reached the 1st 100 posts in myLot ?

hi! first, congratulations for reaching 100 posts as well as your star rating of 8. it's a good start definitely. your percentage says it's 81/100. that's how much positive (+) ratings you received from other mylot users. so your mylot reputation is good and can still be better. star rating is from 0 to 10, with 10 being the highest. your rating can increase as well as it can also go down. it all depends on other mylot users, how they rate the quality of your discussions, responses and comments. so stick with quality. :) i also started with 8 stars. other mylot users advised me to keep doing quality posts. and i did. in my experience the following helped a lot: 1) starting quality discussions in your area of interest; avoid one-liners as topic coz you might also get one-liner response; avoid discussions that just gets a yes or no replies; rate the responses you receive accordingly (+-!); add comments when necessary, it helps encourage more participation from other mylot users; award best responses when applicable coz it shows your appreciation for their effort in participating to your discussion. 2) responding to quality discussions in topics that interest you and those that do not violate mylot guidelines; providing meaningful, useful and relevant responses; always be sincere; never be rude; respect the difference of opinions; try to be as helpful as possible. 3) when you request someone to be in your friends' list or you are requested to be part of others' mylot friends... avoid sending spams to them or to anyone; try to participate as much as possible in your friends' discussions; try to build good relationships with others as well. 4) read the mylot guidelines and FAQs, those will help a lot on what the DOs and DON'Ts here in mylot as well. for now, just enjoy mylot first. don't worry too much about the star rating. as star ratings are in the hands of other mylot users, we cannot please everyone. so just keep doing quality posts and the rest will follow. goodluck! :)

hey congratulations on the star. I think a 8 is a good start because its judged 1 to 10 so it means 80 percent of your responses get a plus rating, not bad at all out of 100 responses keep on posting quality and it will get better still blessed be

8 that's a good one, but you must maintain your star rank. u know i started with 9 but now i am at 5. it is all because i have dione some rubbish discussion and out of track posting. so be specific about your words at mylot. remember every one is watching. have a great star ranking ahead. best of luck

A rating of 8 after 100th post..great..it means your topics and responses are awarded with most + points.Congrats. When some one marks negative our reputation rating star will go down.Just keep on posting quality reponses and write good topics to maintain and increase your star. best of luck in advance to reach star 10 at the earliest.

Its Great........ you got your "Star"...... you must be really happy. Yes, ratings do fluctuate. But, a drastic change is very seldom. But, try to maintain your rating. Better..... strive for a 9 for now and then for 10. 10 is the max your rating can go to. Tips to maintain your rating and improve on them :- 1) Start Quality Discussions. Ones that will bring in more and more people to debate. 2) Make it a point to respond to the replies that you get to the discussions that you have started yourself. Avoid single line replies. This will not help you. It might take your rating down. 3) Make it a point to respond to discussions started by others too. Again, single line responses will not do any good to your ratings. Your replies should ideally be atleast 5 - 6 lines. Do not reply to a subject that you do not know. Reply to subjects that can write about. I even more strived harder for they have encoraged me to keep on posting and improve my ratings here. Just keep on posting cool and quality posts as much as possible never rate anybody with a negative rating because this surely will also hurt and it will return to you like a boomerang. Just keepon osting here and refrain from hurting other people with your posts. Be polite and courteous here on my lot, people here are friendly and helpful and they are very supportive so be as helpful as many are also helping you. Dont post posts for the heck of posting do it with a heart and surely you will harvest many resposes from the people here on mylot. Always check your discussions and answer the replies from other mylotters so to make it more updated and answer the questions of co mylotters here. Thats all I can give you for now.
