When you blow a candle out and it does not go out the First time, do not go closer and blow as guess what there is a chance that you singe your Fringe lololol
Ok it wasn't that bad but I learned (I think) not to do that
Mind you knowing my Blond Mind I will forget next time and do it again.
So look out for the Post Gabs has burnt her Hair hehehe
Ok ok I won't
Well I didn't know that a little Flame would jump up at me, I mean come on it was suppose to stay in the Glass and not jump at me and say boooooooo
Well I guess I did have a good run on accident free for a while
(Sigh)

At least you only singed your fringe and didn't blow candle wax all over the table cloth as is what usually happens in my house...sorry, I know you could have done damage to your eyelashes and thankfully that didn't happen. Thanks for another great story in the life of a blond...ha, ha.

You have the same kind of luck that I do. I can walk and sprain my ankle, or trip over air. (I just don't admit it very often. LOL) What am I going to do with you? I know....I'll send over a bunch of fire extinguishers, and other safety equipment. Would that help? LOL

I love it when you attempt to blow out a candle and the wax backlashes at you covering your face and clothing.

And as you are doing this and cursing as the wax hits your tender skin, you glance at the candle snuffer that is 3 inches from your hand and curse yourself for not using it.

LOL!
Gabs thank you thank you thank you. On a day where I desperately needed a laugh, you did it.
I do hope it doesn't look too too bad though and that you don't have a chunk of your fringe missing. My sister once got hold of a pair of scissors when she was small and cut a chunk of her fringe off while mom was on the phone LOL. Ohh, how I laughed!
Thanks for bringing a smile to my face.

I despair of you! I can't turn my back for five minutes! However, it is a very good post as it may remind other people of this danger. A more common danger is a dangling ribbon or tie at the neck of a blouse, long hair, or sleeves.
The same advice goes for cooking on a open flame too.

I am glad you posted this gabs. I needed a good laugh to dry up the tears after your last post. Now could you post again, the picture with your black eye and superimpose (don't know if that's the correct spelling) your singed hair on it. That should give everybody a great laugh. I'm beginning to think you shouldn't be left alone...lol.

Oh dear Gaby, what are you going to do next, I know that you are accident prone but you do have to be careful when putting out a candle as otherwise you may get burnt, lucky though that the candle only singed part of your fringe, and not any more than that. But please do be careful if you can you have to try and get passed that three week barrier on your accidents.

I'm so glad to hear that you only fringed your hair. You've had some bad accidents. This could have been worse. It's time that you dyed your hair a different color. LOL (anything to stop you from doing blonde things.)

Hi! Whew! *giggles* Just read all the responses to really comprehend the situation ...can't help but laugh over all your friends' responses. I wasn't aware that someone as blond and cute and nice as you could be accident prone ...lol. If that fringe could have talked ...hehehe. Good thing hair grows real fast. I'm relieved to know everything's a-ok. I will have to always keep you in my prayers to be safe and protected always dear gabs. Thanks for this post and keep that fringe pampered today :) Have a great "accident-free" day!

You are as bad as my kids - get a candle snuffer befoer you really damage yourself, silly. I know you can't blow a candle out well with your breathing, maybe you should hold them under the tap or something!
Be careful honey, you know how I worry about you!

Never blow out candles, Gabs. In my World, that's a sure way to blow away your good fortune. Always use a candle extinguisher, or pinch the flame out with moistened fingers.
Obviously, your good fortune didn't want to leave you, so it singed your fringe. lol. So, let that be a lesson to you to extinguish candles without blowing in future. :-)
Brightest Blessings, hugs and love.

I understand what you mean, I have the same problem with lighters.
As I smoke roll-ups, and they are always going out, when I relight them I end up with a singed fringe. The worst time though was when I had the setting on high and as I went to light my cig the flame shot straight up my nose. Singed nose hair is not pleasant. I think it is a sign I should give up before I am hairless!
By the way I am blonde, can I use this as an excuse?

LOL Gabs. Your blonde comments always make me laugh! Guess that's because I'm a typically daffy, dumb blonde myself!!! I'm always doing stuff like that too. Have a good (and hopefully accident-free day), -I must get back to work now! Lunch is over:-((
Cheers.
