Star rating was made on mylot in the january 2007. Every person who has responded to 100 posts get this star & the number in that star tells about the work & reputation of that user. A person to whom 9th star is given is the perfect person. 9th star is a bit less good than 9th & vice versa. I feel that usually, only eurpeon users have 10th star. Our star number decreases if we stop working on mylot & seldom come here.

The star represents your MyLot Reputation Rating, this shows how well you work in posting responses and discussions. You will be able to get your star upon reaching your 100th post. So, keep posting quality discussions, this will help you get much rating with this site. Don't forget to read the guidelines too.
Goodluck!

hi! that's the star rating. it's your mylot reputation. it reflects how other mylot users rate the quality of your discussions, responses and comments. the star rating is from 0 to 10, with 10 being the highest. it can also give the percentage of how much positive (+) ratings you received from other mylot users. that is why it is helpful to rate the discussions you respond to as well as responses you receive accordingly. coz mylot reputation is in the hands of fellow mylot users just like you and me. :)
you will get your star rating too once you reached 100 posts. so keep doing quality posts. :)
i'm not sure about the significance of the color. my presumption is, it just indicates the difference of the rating, each number has a different color. so of course yellow is associated with 8, red for 9 and blue for 10 etc.
hope this helps. goodluck when you reach 100 posts and to your star rating as well. enjoy! :)
