Cleaning an LCD Monitor

Hi Guyz, I have an LCD monitor and i usually clean it with dry cloth when it gets dusty. Now there are some fingerprints on my monitor and so i would like to clean it. Many of my friends said that good care should be taken while cleaning an LCD monitor. Some also said that water must not be used to clean it. Can any of you myloters give me some advice or tips on how to clean my monitor..

I have LCD monitor and also TV screen i dust as you say but to clean my screen i spray a bit of windex on a soft cloth and wipe the screen. have been doing this for years and no problems. never spray the screen but a soft wipe with a windex cloth works wonders.
