Perhaps you had a long distance relationship and now you live in the same town or with each other. I know I moved from Florida back to Texas to be with my one true love, and this is not the only time I have moved states away to be with someone who means alot to me. Have you?? Any wonderful stories to tell?

I moved from Illinois to Iowa to be with my fiancee'. We had been in a long distance relationship for about a year before I moved in, eventhough I wanted to move in with him after about 6 months. I left all my family and friends in Illinois, but I have to admit even though I only get to see them every 2 or 3 months I am happier in Iowa. I'm glad I met him, otherwise my life would be drastically different, and I would probably be struggling. Now we are engaged and are going to be moving into a big house in about a year and a half after he finishes college. We probably are going to get married soon after getting the house, but he wants a huge wedding so we might have to wait. That was my first long distance relationship and it worked out fine, although my friends and family miss me they are happy for me.

That is great, you should feel very proud, most long distance relationships don't work out, thanks for responding.

I've moved across the WORLD to be closer to my husband and he's done the same for me. We met on the internet, spent HOURS everyday talking online and on the fone, then he came to s africa and we got married and moved to the usa.

My wife moved 200 hundred miles when we got married. Then I took her 500 hundred miles away from both of our families and 3 years later I took her 2300 miles away from both of our families. She is an only daughter. I am not sure that her mother liked it too much especially when all four of her brothers stayed close to their mom. Now my mother-in-law lives 1 mile away!

Fortunately I have not had to do this. My first husband lived approximately 25 minutes drive away from me, before we moved in together. My second husband lived only 15 miuntes away from me, before we married.

I moved from Alaska to Scotland to be with my hubby. We met online. I came over to meet him and spent a month with him. I then went back to Alaska. He came over and we got married at my brother's house. A week later I was flying back to Scotland with him and my Alaskan Husky. I had to follow my heart. Best thing I ever did.

i've moved to another country to be with my bf LOL! i was from Malaysia and has been there for the past 20+ years!! When i met my bf online, I never expected that things will go so far :D but then, here i am, in singapore. it's not a bed of roses initially (for the first few months) as i need to really adapt to the environment, culture shock and the homesickness....but i'm slowly getting used to it. I have some vague feeling on how it felt like to be married :D

I have left my partner before and moved cross country back home. Then to find out that I was pregnant. I kept it from him for a while and then I was having problems and told him about it. We both decided that it was in best interest that I move back...so he came cross country to help take me back. That was my 7th and last child. LOL And...we are still together 6 years later.

No, I haven't done this, but I was prepared to at one time. My hubby moved about 8 hours to come be with me, with nothing promised except friendship. I was widowed, had a child at home, a college age student at home and a terminally ill sister, plus her children, plus an extra college student living with me. Bob moved here and slept on the sofa. We were married a few months later. He moved after knowing me less than one month.
