I wonder how many of you still believe that Iraq is responsible for 9/11?

Whether Iraq was involved in 9/11 or not, The United States and other countries freed the iraq people from sadam. Is there anyone out there that wants to argue sadams good qualities. Or the good things sadam did for his people?
If it was a mistake that Iraq was invaded then it was one mistake that produced something positive.

Then, why haven't we "freed" any number of nations from the genocide their government is committing? This explanation is too easy. I don't believe our invasion was a "mistake" for a minute. It had to do with oil, and the nations of Africa have no oil, so they can continue to kill each other as far as we are concerned.

i love that comment about the gas being double what it was. I have nothing nice to say about this whole war thing, so this is one discussion i'm gonna stay out of... i did like the comment about the gas though

These are topics I tend to avoid, however this very thing has been bothering me a good deal lately. There are A LOT of people who still believe Iraq had something to do with 9/11, despite our own government finally admitting that there is absolutely no evidence of such. Meanwhile, Bin Laden has had ample time to hide himself away quite well, the people of Darfur are being erased off the face of the earth, and N. Korea is off playing with nuclear weapons.
Rather a mess we've gotten ourselves in to.

Bush is a bad leader of the USA and he made too much errors in his presidency. And the Iraq isn't responsible for 9/11. Bush and his "friends" only wanted the oil.

Bush NEVER said that Iraq was responsible for the 9/11 attacks of the WTC. What he has tried to convince people of is: Iraq, under Saddaam, was a terrorist country that MAY HAVE supported and aided the actual attackers of 9/11. And that may, at some point, attack America itself. In short, Bush saw a chance to be "America's Hero" and jumped on it. Saddaam and Iraq was the obvious, and easiest to defeat (so he thought), target. After all, it was the US that gave Saddaam his power and weapons during the Reagan administration. On the part of the Bush administration, this was simply a smart political move at the time. America was in shock and mourning. Take out a weak country and dictator (he was Muslim, after all) and the people will adore you and vote for you! I did not agree with it then, and I do not now. Too many people are dying. US servicman, scarcely more than children, are being sent as rifle targets for no reason beyond an already defeated attempt by Bush to look like some sort of saviour/hero to the US people. Yes, I am an American. Even worse, I am a Texan.
