Yes you read that correctly. I recently got a call from my mother, she was very excited, (which is odd for my mother) anyhow she was telling me about a program where you could get more than enough food to feed a family of 4 for a week. And it would only cost $25. My first thought was well mom joined another one of those coupon exchanges or something. SO of course I asked her what she was talking about. There is a program out there that anyone can join, you don't have to be a part of any church, you don't have to show low income or anything like that. She told me you pay for your food then pick it up. It's a once a month program and you can order as many of the "units" as you want. One unit is $25 and will feed an average family of 4 for a week. My next question of course was its almost out of date or dented cans or something like that isn't it? She said NO!! It's all high quality stuff you would get at the grocery store. She said that before she told me about it she got some just to make sure. So I decided to check it out and see what she was talking about. I was amazed the amount you get for $25. The menu changes monthly, and if you decide you don't like what's on the menu for that month you don't have to get it. So after looking at it and figuring things up you can actually feed a family of 4 for about $250 a month,without going hungry, because of milk and things like that that you would get seperate and as needed. The best part of it is they take any kind of payment, Credit card, cash, and even food stamps. I have been trying to get one of the churches in my area to pick this up because I think it will help a lot of people. Oh I almost forgot....It's called Angel Food Ministries, you can look on their website for your area and find the closest center to you. You can also look at the menu and everything there as well.
