Today was my daughter's school results and as I said I am really feeling on the top of the world as she has topped her class with 580 marks out of 600. She was so confident about topping her class that she took her gift in advance.
I always wanted a child who would be intelligent and I am grateful to God for giving me one.
Wanted to share this news with someone so thought of sharing it in this forum.

Thank you so much for sharing and brightening my day , you must be so proud of your daughter , My son was born with cerebral palsy and they told me he would be a vegetable if he lived but the didn't hold out much hope , he has his HND in computing through college and is not doing 2 open university course (he is on the site as rossdcurran ) he has given me the joy you are feeling today , there isn't another feeling like it , enjoy your daughter , our children and grand children are such precious gifts xxx

wow! Thats a very brilliant daughter indeed. I can now understand the meaning of this maxim"that a good child brings honour to her father(parents), but a foolish child is a shame to her mother". I really envy your reinforcement methodology, I mean the motivational gift, I sure know thats what really prompted her action and determination to make it.
I could remeber when I was in elementary school and a family friend promised me 1cent to top my class, It was a big challenge,my chance or will l call it miracle, l topped my class, and he fulfiled his promise. Funny enough, that was the last l ever top my class throughout my school day, lol!
I think positive reinforcement is a good way to prompt children to good action.
Congratulation and l pray l have interligent children that I would celebrate as you are doing today.
cheers

Congratulations, what an accomplishment for your daughter, I certainly understand why she and you are so proud.
I am sure she is a very hard-working girl, as well as intelligent, and I think you are really blessed, as not everyone is this lucky.
