What do you look for when determining who to add as a friend? Do you prefer to initiate the friendship or do you prefer for someone to ask you to be a friend? Which is more important to you in your myLot friends...quantity or quality?

I choose my Mylot friends based upon their discussions most usually. If I can relate to their discussions, I will request their friendship. I also like to request new member friendships also because they have alot of fresh, new discussions. I like to be able to answer their questions or new topics. I will add anyone who requests my friendships to my friends list. I ask alot of them to be my friends and some of them request my friendship. I prefer to have quality in my friends rather than quantity. I would much rather answer their quality discussions than to delete the quantity of discussions I cannot relate to.

This is really a good response. I have wondered about this for some time. I don't add many friends. I want to be able to give my all to my friends and don't feel that I can do it if I have too many friends. Although I do agree with you that the more friends you have, the more interesting the discussions can be. I like to choose my friends after participating in some of their own or mutual discussions. Good answer.
