Why is it that people think nothing of bringing amonia, clorine and even rat poison into their homes, but accuse me of being a bad parent simply because I own a gun or two?The myth of the anti gun lobby is there is somehow some kind of epidemic of gun related accidents, killing or harming our kids. The fact is kids get killed and harmed by poisons in the home much more than guns. See for yourself: Number of kids (0-17) killed in gun related accidents (2004): 105 Number of kids (0-17) injured in gun related accidents: 2,251 Number of kids (0-17) killed by poisons in the home: 291 Number of kids (0-17) injured by poisons in the home: 96,519 So, next time some gun grab goon tells you that guns and kids don't belong in the same home, ask them what they clean their "kid safe" home with? Chances are, their answer will only show their own hypocrisy. ~~~~~~ All stats were taken from the CDC website: WISQARS. It's a great website where you can punch in all sorts of variables to get the facts about deaths and injuries in the USA. Try it out, it's a lot of fun. http://www.cdc.gov.ncipc/wisqars
