Are we going past round one this year?

Weren't you sooooo upset last year! Winners of the President's Cup, Stevie Y's last season, and we go down in the first round! Was it really Legace's fault? I still think that was a mistake to let him go just to get Os"Bad" again - but he's doing ok.
So, the real question - will we get past round one this year? What do you think!

The Redwings just arent the same, like the good ol' days with the Russian Five, Yzerman, Probert to beat everyone up...but their still the WINGS! So yeah there gonna make it! Go Wings!

Yeah, yeah, yeah! I totally agree - I loved the Russian 5, years! And I MISS Yzerman SOOOO bad - just hate seeing him in the window box at the games, and looking all stuffy! He just doesn't look comfortable!

I does not matter casue if they do eventually they will run into the canucks adn that will wend the season for them maybe stop they should stop the hurting early and bow out but woudl liek to watch the wings adn the nucks go at it in the playoffs woudl eb great serries.

Sorry about that was still amped from the 4 periods of OT the canucks played played that day.
After see Calgaries performance last night it is looking like an easy job for detriot to get to the next round.

I think the Wings have a very good chance to go all the way this year. I was quite concerned to see Calgary on a roll in the last few games of the season. They've been in playoff mode for weeks. Detroit, not so much.
They certainly eased my mind with the way they handled themselves in Game 1. Usually you see all finesse, and the attempt for a pretty pass and a highlight reel shot on net for the goal. That doesn't work in the playoffs. They realized this, and finally stopped doing it.
To top it off, they picked up the hitting. Hits were like 16 to 11 (in favor of the wings) after one period. When has that EVER happened? They're controlling their tempers but playing just as physical as Calgary. I'm going to call 4, maybe 5 games for the first round.

Funny to think that I was nervous going into game 2, thinking Man, the Flames are going to get their act together this time... - and then almost immediately they were being penalized, (what for about 10 minutes total of the first period) I then allowed myself to relax a bit!
