Asians and Caucasians

I am white, so white in fact, that I disappear when passing through fields of snow. My girlfriend is half Asian, half Hispanic. She lives with her mom and stepdad who are both Chinese, her grandmother, who is Chinese ... You get the picture. Her family still doesn't know she's dating me. I'm hoping there might be some older Chinese here who can tell me if this is going to be a problem when I do meet them ... because I do hope to marry this woman and would rather her family liked me if at all possible. Also, will it help at all with the grandmother, who doesn't speak English, that I'm learning to speak Cantonese very badly?
