Have you ever worn mis-matched socks are shoes to work?

I did it just the other day. One black sock and one navy blue sock. Who can tell the difference in the dark? Next time I'll just turn on the overhead light and wake my hubby up. Who cares if he works a night shift, right?

I have a funny story about this and it wasn't my mis-matched shoes. We were going through medical issues with my daughter and I had met with the GI specialist who was in charge of her case for the first time he told us she could die at 18 months but gave me no actions to take. I was so upset by the end of the day and still had to meet with him the next day. My sister decided she would come down and take control of this situation because I was a wreck. She came dressed in a suit determined to get this doctor to settle down and give us all the answers. We spent 2 hours with this doctor and he gave us a lot of information to take in. We got on the elevator and my sister who was the calm cool collected one yells out oh my gosh, oh my gosh. I thought she realized he said something that I had missed that upset her. My heart was racing as I asked her what? She said.. I have on two different shoes!! All we could do was laugh because she just shot her whole image at that point. To this day we still tease her about her shoes.

She is now 12 years old and doing just fine. They were way off on what they thought she had when is was a baby.

No, I take extra time in the morning to make sure that everything matches.

Sigh, borrow my three kids for a week and then talk to me about extra time.

I have never really cared much if my socks matched as long as my pantlegs are going to cover them anyway. I do home daycare now so I wear mismatched socks on purpose just to make the kids laugh. They get really excited when I wear a shirt that had bleach spilled all over the back of it. I explained to the parents that I would have normally thrown it out but the kids love it. lol I know people that would go crazy wearing something like that or even two white socks that werent acutal mates. Life is too short to stress over something so trivial.

I don't know if I've ever worn mismatched socks to work. I used to wear pantyhose most of the time, but it couuld have happened. I did one day arrive at work and looked down to find that I was still wearing my slippers. My boss thought it was so funny that never let me forget it. Thankfully I worked in an office that my boss had in his own house!

I'm usually checking the kids over to be sure they have what they need. I guess I just overlooked myself.

I too have worn a black sock and blue sock on the same day. When I wake up in the morning I'm not always fully alert. I throw on a pair of socks without really checking to see if ther match and are the same color. When I got to work I soon realized that they were different colors. I tried to keep my pants covering them as much as possible that day to make sure no one could tell me and critize my "style".
