My almost 3-year-old girl is still not potty trained at night or to go poo in the toilet. Any suggestions? She will wear undies and then put on a diaper to poo in! I'm getting fed up. Help!

My middle daughter did that. There wasn't anything that I found that worked. She didn't start using the potty full time during the day until she was 3 years and 8 months old. She is almost 4 1/2 now and is just now starting to stay dry at night. My 5 1/2 year old still wets the bed most nights, too.

it is normal. usually, kids have normal toilet manners at the age of 5. dont pressure the kid on his/her failure to be potty trained. it will add up to the anxiety they feel, and will most likely make the condition severe.
in this situation, rewarding is effective. give the reward in forms of emotional and material things. you can do away with scolding the child for sometime, but make it known to him/her that you are looking forward to the time when they will be properly potty trained.

This is so normal I would just try to be patient for she will soon want to do it, and I found out of my 7 children just to let them do it on their time. I do know where you are coming from but remember there will come an end to it all! Best wishes with the little one

I trained all three of my girls really quickly with a calendar and stickers. Every time they hit the pot, they got a sticker. There was some real incentive to go whenever they felt the urge. After a while, they forgot the stickers, but it had become a habit to go in the potty. Then I moved the adjustable seat to the toilet for a couple of weeks. Then voila, took it off. They were trained. Never even had an accident at night. Good luck with your daughter. Try not to get too frustrated. She will not go to college in diapers. I promise. ;)
