What did you lie? What was the reason behind? What happened after? Did they know what you did?

I lied to my parents, ecspecially when I was a teen. I mostly lied about where i was going or who I was with. I had a lot of friends that my parents didn't like. They caught me a few times, but I was very rebellious and I really didn't care. Anything they did to try to punish me didn't really work becasue I was really bad. I have changed a lot since then and now I get along really well with my parents, you would never know that I am the same person.

Yeah I did. It's not really lying it's more of hiding something from them. I got married without their knowledge so when they found out all hell broke lose. They were really disappointed and shocked. I tried to hide it since they don't like my husband and I wnated them to get to know him first before telling them what happened but they found out first so it was bad.

Yes, why not? Is there anybody who never lied to his/her parents? That must have been Jesus or any of the prophets of God. Children lie to their parents for several reasons, including denying a fact or feigning a fact so as to gain some benefits or avoid some punishments or a reproach. My own lies were innocently innocous and expertly concocted, and were never disproved, all because I was much loved. An An example was telling them that I was going to read in a friend's place when I was actually going there to play. They never found me out because I never failed in exams.

i have lied a couple of times o my parents, and the reason behind that is because it is damage control, nothing can happen to you if they don't know, save yourself the hassle of your parents being disappointed, you wouldn't lie to them if you thought the outcome was going to be bad.
