why are there so many haters hating on kobe? I mean, even Vince Carter made it public that he doesn't like kobe's 81 point performance because he was selfish. selfish? how so? what does kobe have to do as the leader when they are down 18 to one of the worst team in the league, AND when the rest of the lakers is struggling to score? keep passing to smush and luke for the outside shot? if he did that, the word selfish will not come to mind anymore because he's not "hogging" the ball. however, he will then get blamed for the loss that they will suffer. sure sometimes he takes unnecessary shots, but every once in a while, a player needs a heat check. That was last season. the 06-07 season, he did something greater. 5 straight 50+ games. again, he got critizied for being selfish. if people actually watch the whole game, they will notice that indeed he does pass the ball, but the rest of the team is just not contributing. sure it might just be 5 passes that leads to zero assists. but he has no choice coming from a 7 game losing streak. instead of calling him selfish, how about giving him credit on the physical condition that he's in. Many people have no idea how hard it is to run up and down the court for 40+ mins and rise up for a jumpshot 30+ times in one game.
as of the lakers season. i think it has been a dissappointment. injuries put the lakers in the 7th seed. but i think as of late, even when the team is healthy, they are still not playing great. what do you think? i think they'd have a better chance in beating dallas than the suns.

i would also like to add further that the lakers dont have really a second legitimate threat on the floor. a possible second scorer. odom, parker, they are not a threat, not at all. look at the mavericks and suns, almost everyone can score at will. when kobe is not doing well, the team wont.

To go even further, I would say Kobe is beyond Jordan. Jordan's got Pippen, Kobe's got a half season injured Lamar who has dropped his points per game after he moved to Lakers. Not to mention that the dude's been like injured half of the season this year.

The Lakers will not do well in the playoffs because it is a team game, not a one man team. It takes the effort of everyone on the team to succeed. Kobe is a great player and talent but he needs to learn how to distribute the ball and get everyone else involved. The problem with him scoring so much is that the rest of the team gets flatfooted and just watches him go to work, which helps the other team because the players are slow to react to get back on defense. My Sixers had the same problem with Iverson on the team.

lovers and haters, they all exist. you cant just please anyone. i myself sometimes doesn't like kobe. he takes so many shots and takes the game into his own hands, his teammates dont get involved. but as a scorer, he's not just one of the best, but he's the best. he can score 50 or 60 points at will whenever he wants to. but the good thing about kobe right now is that e's getting his teammates more involved. he starts to trust them and their confidence is growing, something a team leader should do. if he continues to develop his leadership abilities, for sure it wont take too long before the lakers will win the nba title again. its not impossible since he's surrounded by quality players like lamar odom, smush parker, kwame brown and lately andrew bynum

the lakers wouldn't be doing well against teams like the suns, mavs and spurs in the western conference. the lakers will not be crowned champs this year again. against the clippers, he had 50pts again but the team fell short again. kobe can score a hundred points, but when the team overall is struggling then that number doesnt really matter in the end. sure, it will be part of history but thats it. kobe is not also going to win any mvp awards this year.

For me I love Kobe the best.every coin has two sides.when something good happens, something bad will come along, that's the natural principle. So just love the person I love, let those haters go on their side. It's none of my business, and I have no so much energy to argue with the haters since all of my attention has been focused on my lover.
