I'm beginning to see light at the end of the financial tunnel!

I've been going through a bit of financial difficulty lately, not knowing whether I was going to be able to keep all our bills paid up or how I was going to be able to buy groceries for my family.
However, some things have happened in the past couple of days that will soon begin to have a great impact on improving our financial situation. There are a few other things in the works that will also help out. I'm so happy things are beginning to look up for us.
We've always pulled through our financial rough spots and come out ok, but I can't help but worry the whole time things aren't going well.
How do you handle times of financial stress?

in think this last year has been our worst financially we have ever had. There hasnt been a time when i havent been too ill to work or my husband hasnt been ill. As a result we have been living hand-to-mouth. Thankfully things seem to be calming down now. These troubles make us stronger and we turn inwards as a family, that way we pull through
blessed be

Best wishes for better times ahead. I hope you and your husband return to full health and that things really do begin to calm down for you in the very near future.

Good on for you, it is very difficult to get out of financial difficulties, as well it is hard to stay out, But if you take all the information and knowledge you gained from this experience, you will do well. You know when the little voice inside says I want that, you have the ability to say to your self, yes but do we really need it, what will we be doing with it in a years time, are we willing to give up another treat or dream to have this little something right now. Another thing you can do is to train your self that credit cards may have a limit, but your limit on it is quite different. For instance I have a credit card I literally could buy a car on it,My own limit on it is $500 because that is what I owe on it at this moment. And I can not afford any more payments on my income.
I live on a very limited income, a disability pension. I covers my mortgage payment and strata fees, my utilities, food. and my one credit card payment, there is about $35 left to have fun with. So you can imagine I do not drink, smoke, play bingo, go to movies, dine out, go on vacation, What It has taught me is how to stretch every dollar for its maximum value. how to find bargains, and if some thing I really have to have comes up, I know that I can have it if I want to go into debt, but so far so good and I have been doing this since 2001, and is not likely to change ever, but I am happy, and appreciate every thing I get that much more. Like my computer and INTERNET, I planned waited and I got what I wanted after 5 years. I no longer look at my life as a financial difficulty, I look at it as it is. Have a nice day Regards Robin

Thank you, Robin, for your reply. The situations I've been in thus far in my life have taught me a lot about how to handle money, more so than any class ever could, I'd imagine. Live and learn, I guess that's never more true than now!
