If The Mylot Payout Minimum Was Lowered, Would You Post Less?

Someone else brought this up in another thread, asking if the payout should be lowered to five dollars. At first I thought this was a great idea, but now I think it might make posters more complacent if they knew they only had to make five dollars to reach payout. What about you? Do you think you would be less likely to post if the minimum was lowered or would you post around the same amount as you do now?

I think the payout being lowered to $5 would only be a good idea if you didnt have to wait until the end of the month to receive payment. Since you have to wait until the end of the month before myLot sees if you have reached minimum payout, it doesnt matter that the minimum is $10. $10 is not hard to reach if you post a bunch everyday.

Lowering the payment is for lazy people. I mean, it's not that difficult to make $10. I'm already there for April and it's not even half way through the month. And i don't strive for minimum payout, I strive for the most I can make.
I'm hoping one day to be able to claim I made $20-30 in one month. will it ever happen? I don't know. But I can dream big, right?

I would still keep posting. I already make more than that each month. But, the only problem with lowering the payment is that Mylot may not be able to afford it. I don't know if that's confusing or not. Right now, a lot of the less serious people quit before they reach their payout levels. That means that Mylot doesn't really pay all that many people, or at least every month. If they lowered it, more people will have to be paid every month and I don't know if they would like that. There are a lot of people who only stay until they earn the first minimum payment and leave.
But, I wouldn't.

I wonder how many people stick with Mylot until they reach payout. Now I can see that a lot of people quit before they ever do or they give up after a few days because they think they can't do it. Thanks for raising some points I hadn't thought of previously.

I think there would be no difference for me, wheter they lowered it or not. Because as of now, I have raised my minimum pay out to 25, even if I haven't received my first payout yet. My reason is, 10$ is a small amount in Philippine Peso and as of now, it is not a necessity for me to take it. So I'll just enjoy Mylot and will see after for the payout. Therefore Mylotting activity didn't change, since I started here. Have a nice day Wachit! (^^,)

A good proportion of Mylot members are not here for the money and find the friendship, community spirit and being able to express their opinions the attraction to this site. It isn't and will never be a great money making site, well not to make you rich. If you are commited to Mylot then it won't make any difference what the minimum payout would be only to those who seek this site only to make money.

I don't think its a bad idea. Why would it make posters more complacent that the myLot payout was lowered? I don't see any reason for this. If its lowered to five dollars I don't think posters would post less. It would mean that they would pay out earlier or maybe encourage users to post more.
