Saurav was appointed as the captain of Indian Cricket team in Feb-2000.
Saurav was the man of the series in NewZealand - India 5 ODI series in NOV-1999.
Saurav made mammoth 183 against Srilanka in 1999 worl cup beating Kapil Dev's record 175*.
Saurav was the man of the series in the Pepsi Cup 1999 for scoring 278 runs and taking 6 wickets in total.
Saurav along with Tendulkar forms the 4th best opening pair in ODIs.
Sauav & tendulkar involved in a world record partnership of 252 runs.
Saurav made a century on Debut at Lords in 1996 and went on to score a century in the very next match as well.
Saurav was named sportsperson of the year in 1998.He also won Arjuna award in the same year.
Saurav was the highest run scorer for India in the year 1997.
In sahara cup 1997 Saurav made a record for consecutive Man of The Match awards and he is also The Man of the Series.

Good veerdeep,you look a great fan of saurav ganguly.Yes he has been the pride of india.
Between thats a very good collection.May should have included the natwest series which was a famous win for india and a favourite win for saurav too.
